Mituo Village Appreciation Season: Lighting the Heart Lamp, Illuminating the Path Forward

Ten years ago, with the support and dedication of countless kind friends, Mituo Village in North America was officially established in Pennsylvania, USA. This vast land, once used as a Christian pastor training base, has now taken on the mission of spreading great love and wisdom under the stewardship of Mituo Village. Holding a shared vision for the future, we began the journey of developing this land. After ten years of weathering challenges together, Mituo Village has transformed into a beautiful and warm spiritual home. All these achievements are the result of the tireless efforts and dedication of many people, a testament to the selfless contributions of the public.

Every Buddhist chant, every inch of land, every building, and every patch of green in Mituo Village carries your care and support. Without your contributions, Mituo Village could not have achieved its current prosperity and tranquility. Each chant of pure-hearted devotion, each sincere worship, each donation of goodwill, each quiet act of volunteer service, and each warm and compassionate smile is a source of strength for Mituo Village's growth.

To honor this deep affection, on the occasion of the completion of the Ten Thousand Buddha Bright Light Lamp in the Repayment of Grace Prayer Hall, we are launching the Mituo Village Gratitude Season. The Gratitude Season will last from today until the completion of the renovation project of the Repayment of Grace Prayer Hall (approximately November 2024). During this period, the Bright Light Lamp will not be available for public offering, but will be dedicated to those who have previously contributed to the development and construction of Mituo Village, as a gesture of our gratitude.

These everlasting lamps in front of the Buddha not only illuminate the solemn prayer hall but also light up our hearts. During this Gratitude Season, with deep gratitude, we light this heart lamp for all those who have ever helped and supported Mituo Village. This is not an ordinary lamp but a Bright Light Lamp filled with blessings and wishes. It symbolizes the compassion and wisdom of Amitabha Buddha and represents Mituo Village’s sincerest thanks and best wishes to you.

Through these lamps, we seem to see the figures of those who practice diligently and with focused hearts: when we needed support, you extended your hands without hesitation; when we faced difficulties, you silently stood by our side. Your selfless dedication and intentions are not only a pride of Mituo Village but also the meaning behind our efforts.

In this season of gratitude, we not only appreciate the past contributions but also hope that in the future, everyone can continue to work together and protect this beautiful home we have built together.
