Buddha Recitation Retreat in Progress

Buddha Recitation Retreat in Progress · Welcome to Continue Joining

This retreat is personally led by Venerable Shangde Xiayi, who guides the assembly each day in chanting sutras, bowing to the Buddha, and reciting the Buddha’s name. In his teachings, the Dharma Master patiently explains the methods of Buddha-recitation and key points of practice, encouraging everyone to let go of distractions and focus wholeheartedly, helping participants find stability and growth in Dharma over these seven days. He also personally cares for the daily needs of the assembly, ensuring that everyone can practice with peace of body and mind.

We are deeply grateful to all the Dharma brothers and sisters for their tireless dedication during this period! Without your support and mindful effort, this precious retreat could not have unfolded so smoothly. From cleaning the main hall and preparing guest rooms, to cooking in the kitchen and maintaining facilities, every contribution has helped make the monastery pure and dignified, allowing everyone to recite the Buddha’s name with peace and diligence.

The retreat has already begun smoothly, with continuous chanting of “Amitabha” echoing in the hall from morning till night. Seeing everyone gather from all directions to cultivate together fills us with great joy, and we sincerely invite more friends with affinity to join us. Even if you can come for just one session or one incense period, you will share in the blessings of the Buddha and the joy of the Dharma with the assembly.

Special Reminders
· Saturday is the final day of the retreat — please treasure the opportunity;
· Sunday morning there will be a tea gathering for sharing reflections;
· After the closing on Sunday afternoon, this Buddha recitation retreat will be completed.

May we, under the guidance of the Dharma Master and in collective cultivation, strengthen our aspiration for the Path, purify our body and mind, and let the sound of Buddha’s name resound within our hearts for a long time.
